14 Martie 2010
Avand in vedere stirile din presa romana din ultima vreme despre situatia sociala si economica din Grecia, venim cu lamuriri pentru candidatii care doresc sa participe la Targul de Joburi pentru Grecia si Cipru si sa se inscrie in programul Work Experience sau Work and Travel:
1) Plasamentele din cadrul Targului de Joburi se fac in SECTORUL PRIVAT (hoteluri de 4 si 5 stele), pe insulele din Grecia si Cipru, care nu sunt afectate de situatia economica si politica a tarii (cea de pe continent);
From Robinson Club
Dear Suzanne,
Â
Â
My name is Panagiotis Stamatakis and I am the representative of the owner "Robinson club Lyttos Beach" as well as another two hotels under the same ownership, and also a Water Park. I am writing in answer to your inquiries concerning the internship program and I am happy to offer you any information required.
Â
From what I understand, there are concerns about the political and economical situation of Greece at the moment, mostly due to media reports, and although we do not know how it has been presented in your country we are in a position to inform you that in no circumstances does it effect how our hotels will operate this upcoming season and thus how the internship under question will function.
Â
"Robinson Club" is an excellent company we have cooperated with for many years now and let me personally assure you it is the most reliable company in this business, both here in Greece as well as in other countries worldwide. The company is 100% safe and secure in the jobs it offers students with no problems ever having been presented. It does not cancel contracts, under any circumstances, once they are signed and so there should be no concern on your behalf about payment of students and them being sent home before the end of the program. On a wider scope, I strongly reassure you that prices in tourism have not increased due to VAT and our market is as stable as always.
Â
As far as my personal opinion goes, I feel that the media has blown the whole situation out of proportion and social conditions in this country are not presented the way they truly are. Greece is definitely NOT on the verge of bankruptcy.
Â
I hope I have been of assistance to you and please do not hesitate to contact me if you require any further information.
I look forward to meeting you.
Â
Â
Best regards,
Â
Â

From: Aqua Sol Hotels Company
Dear Applicants,
I feel really surprised the media in Romania doesn't focus on the reality of the situation in Greece.
Â
Actually the Greek Government decided to take very rough measures, which will affect the Greeks working in PUBLIC Sector, with a monthly income decrease of 10%. The demonstrations are normal because for public employees it is difficult to accept their decrease of their salaries.
Increase of VAT from 9% to 10% and from 19% to 21% for luxury items and services does not affect tourism industry, because hotel prices and contracts for 2010 are already signed since last summer 2009 and can not change. So there will be no increase at tourist rates in Greece this year.
Â
Anyway, tourist businesses in Greece are going on normal and our company which owns and operates 27 hotels in Greece and Cyprus with more than 15.000 beds continue all operations at a very good way and we guarantee our staff structure and student training positions.
Â
I inform you that we respect always all the cooperation contracts which we signed, and we keep all our agreements and promises regarding financial terms, including salaries payments, length of contracts, working terms and conditions.
I will meet you at Bukarest at 25.3.2010 to choose the best candidates for Aqua Sol Hotels Company.
With best personal regards,
Â

From: Mediterranean Hotels, Greece
Ladies and gentlemen,
We would like to inform the candidates who wish to make their practical training in Greece that the concerns and news broadcast-ed by the media are quite excessive and exaggerated.
The economic crisis is affecting the entire planet and it creates particular problems in public sector and not the private sector in Greece.
Especially for the Mediterranean Hotels, reservations are very good and we assure you that we will respond fully in respect to our obligations in relation to the practical training of students and employees from Romania.
There is no reason for candidates, parents and educational institutions to worry. If they intend to come to Greece they should do so without hesitation because they will not have any financial or other kind of problems.
We wish everybody a good season.
Best regards,
Gannis Gravarias

From Malia Bay Beach Hotel
Dear Miss Suzanne,
Â
As the director of the hotel Malia Bay I asure you that the current situation in Greece is not affecting our business, so the jobs we are offering are 100% sure and safe.
Â
But I have to tell you that I was very suprised reading your e-mail. I am not in Romania to see what TV transmit to you about Greece, but it seems to me that the World's economical crisis it's because of Greece!
Greece is facing economical problems like so many others countries right now like England, Portugal, Spain. Even Germany had to borrow the bigest amount of money in their history this year.
Englands dept right now,is 12,7 % (just like Greece), but everybody is talking about Greece, because Greece is small and second because the bankers would like to take advantge of the situation, create a negative clima arround Greece and then borrow money to Greece with an extremly high rate.
Thats all the game is about and nothing more. Greece is ok and will be ok in the future.
Â

Best regards,
Â
